Denner’s termination posted on CBF BID as Chelsea signing leaves Corinthians | OneFootball

Left-back Denner has had his Corinthians contract rescinded, with the notice posted on the CBF’s BID on Tuesday, clearing him to play for Chelsea.

According to Globo.com, the 18-year-old academy graduate was sold to the English club at the start of last year for 10 million euros, about R$ 62.4 million at the time.

Because he was under 18, he remained with Corinthians until reaching the minimum age permitted to complete the move.

During that spell he suffered a right knee meniscus injury and underwent surgery.

From October last year, at Chelsea’s request, the final phase of his rehabilitation took place in England.

The agreement also included up to four million euros in bonuses linked to first-team appearances before the transfer. As he spent much of last season injured and was not used in the senior side, those targets were not met.

Corinthians retained a percentage of any future sale of the full-back.
