Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Oscar Garcia is one name on the shortlist of potential candidates for the Anderlecht job. Despite underwhelming during his previous stint in Belgium with OH Leuven, Garcia appears to be one of the head coaches Anderlecht are considering. Garcia has been in charge of Ajax on an interim basis over the past few months, with the side only securing European football via the play offs and a penalty shoot out against Utrecht. Ajax look set to appoint Michel as their head coach, who was recently relegated from La Liga with Girona.

It is safe to say that if Anderlecht do go for Garcia with current head coach Jeremy Taravel as assistant, the fans of the club will not be best pleased. Given that Garcia was unable to amount to much with OH Leuven and Ajax only just made Europe, many would likely question the ambition of new Sporting Director Antoine Sibieski. However, Garcia is just one name on a shortlist that is likely to include a number of other options.

Prior to managing Ajax and OH Leuven, Garcia has spent time in Spain, France and Greece. He also had a season in charge of Brighton, as well as a short stint with Watford which had to end due to illness.
