As per a report from Foot Mercato, Olympique de Marseille have reignited their interest in Ismaël Bennacer (27) and have sent a loan offer to AC Milan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
RMC Sport have revealed the details surrounding this approach, stating that the option to make the deal permanent is valued at around €10 million.
Marseille showed an interest in signing Bennacer on loan in the summer, however, the move did not come to fruition. The Algeria international was also sold on the move. He has missed much of the season with a calf injury suffered right at the start of the campaign. As a result, he has made just eight appearances in all competitions, including just six in Serie A.
Now, in the dying hours of the window, Marseille have reignited their interest in Bennacer. Les Phocéens, who have been active in the market this past month, would be interested in bringing in the midfielder on loan. It remains to be seen whether he is receptive to a move, as he was in the summer.
It comes amid reports that Ismaël Koné is set to join Ligue 1 rivals Stade Rennais, also on loan.
