Diego López has suffered a sprain to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee and it will keep him out for several weeks.
AS reports that the injury occurred in training last week and it ruled him out of the derby against Levante.

The diagnosis also brings relief, with no further joint damage that might have ended his season.
He will undergo physiotherapy and treatment-room work, and his return will depend on how the problem evolves.
Even so, it is a setback for the Asturian winger, who had recently lost his starting place and was coming off the bench. Once recovered, he will need to keep fighting for a spot in the starting XI.
