Diogo Costa and 10 others: FC Porto’s likely XI for the Super Cup

The official kickoff of the 2026/2027 season has been given. FC Porto face Torreense today at 8:15pm at the Cidade de Coimbra Stadium in the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira. Compared to last season, Francesco Farioli is expected to start only one of the summer signings, André Silva, as Deniz Gul still has not fully convinced in Porto’s attack.

The starting eleven chosen by the national champions’ coach should be very similar to the one that began the friendly against Aston Villa last Saturday, although there may be one or two changes. Against the Portuguese Cup winners, the Dragons are looking to add another trophy to their honours list and start as clear favourites, but they cannot ignore their opponent’s display against Sporting at Jamor.
