Dodi Lukebakio has acknowledged an underwhelming year at Benfica and set out his determination to respond. The player said in a post that he will keep working hard and will not give up.

He expressed disappointment that the team fell short of their objective and that he could not help as much as he wanted.

He arrived injured, returned to play, then suffered another setback, and acknowledged that fans deserve more. He set out an intention to do everything to change that next season, 2026/27.

He also thanked supporters for their backing. He is due to join Belgium shortly to begin preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
