Doku And Foden Get 8.5 | Manchester City Players Rated In Solid Win Vs Napoli

Manchester City entertained Napoli at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a positive result at home in the UEFA Champions League. Pep Guardiola’s men made a good start to the game and found themselves at a numerical advantage in the 21st minute when Giovanni Di Lorenzo was sent off by the referee. The Mancunian giants went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Erling Haaland opened the goal-scoring in the 56th minute before Jeremy Doku put the match to bed just nine minutes later. The contest finished with Man City securing a solid 2-0 win at the Etihad.

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma – 7/10
He made one good save at the back and earned an easy clean sheet tonight.
RB: Abdukodir Khusanov – 7/10
Khusanov was solid when defending inside his half but offered very little going forward.
CB: Ruben Dias – 7/10
He did enough to keep the opposition attackers quiet during the 90 minutes.
CB: Josko Gvardiol – 7.5/10
Gvardiol won the ball back a few times and was a threat at the other end of the pitch.

LB: Nico O’Reilly – 7/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.
CDM: Rodri – 8/10
Rodri anchored the midfield with conviction and made some decent chances in the final third.
RW: Bernardo Silva – 7/10
He caught the eye at times on both halves, but there was no goal for him.
CM: Phil Foden – 8.5/10
Foden engineered a lot of good chances for his teammates to score and ended the game with an assist to his name.
CM: Tijjani Reijnders – 7/10
He was a real menace in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
LW: Jeremy Doku – 8.5/10
Doku caused a lot of problems for his marker and managed to score with a good finish in the 65th minute.
ST: Erling Haaland – 7.5/10
Haaland was a real handful for the opposition defenders and managed to score the opener in the 56th minute.
