Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been urged to set a 20-goal Premier League target after extending his scoring streak in Leeds United’s draw with Brentford.

Speaking on NBC Sports, former Premier League player Robbie Earle praised his resurgence and suggested the England international now aim for 20 this season, with five already for Leeds. He added that a fit Calvert-Lewin can deliver 15 to 20 and that, if momentum and service follow, a reliable scorer is key in the fight against relegation.

After a difficult end to his Everton spell, Calvert-Lewin looks revitalised at Leeds. Daniel Farke backed him before the game to push into the England reckoning, and his latest goal has done his chances of forcing his way into Thomas Tuchel’s plans no harm.

This is his best sequence since 2020, with the striker scoring in four consecutive Premier League matches for only the second time in his career.

He has previously gone five in a row only once, during his fast start with Everton in 2020, and can match that if he scores in Leeds’ next outing.
