Dorival Júnior gives Memphis Depay fitness update before Supercopa v Flamengo

Corinthians remain unsure if Memphis Depay will be fit for the Supercopa do Brasil against Flamengo.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Dorival Júnior said after Sunday's draw with São Paulo that the forward has only just begun a transition. It still brings limitations and ongoing pain, so they need to be calm and let things take their course.

Memphis was diagnosed with bone oedema in his left knee in late November and was later available for the decisive Copa do Brasil matches. He scored the title-winning goal against Vasco at the Maracanã.

In January 2026 he has been rested from early-season games while undergoing physiotherapy and physical transition. There is no precise return date.

The match is scheduled for 16:00 Brasília time on Sunday 1 February at Estádio Mané Garrincha in Brasília. It pits the 2025 league champions against last season's Copa do Brasil winners.
