Borussia Dortmund have set an asking price of around €50m (£42.5m) for Jamie Gittens, amid interest from the Premier League.
Chelsea have registered a ‘concrete interest’ in signing the winger, who has been one of the Bundesliga’s breakout stars this season.
Gittens has scored 12 goals in all competitions and added a further five assists, while he leads the Bundesliga for successful take-ons and ranks second for progressive carries.
The 20-year-old spent time in the academies of Chelsea, Reading and Manchester City before joining Dortmund in 2020. He has since made 107 senior appearances for the German side, scoring 17 goals. Gittens has also won 11 caps for England at u-21 level.
Sky Germany are reporting that Chelsea are interested in a deal to sign the winger and are prepared to double Gittens’ current salary.
Despite reports of a price tag of €100m, Dortmund would be prepared to sell for around €50m to €60m (£42.5m to £51m) in order to funds the club’s rebuild under Niko Kovac.
