Doubts about Luciano Spalletti’s long-term Juventus future | OneFootball

Serie A giants Juventus have witnessed a fair amount of promise under Luciano Spalletti but the recent run of frustrating results have brought doubts about the Italian’s stay in Turin.

The Bianconeri have lost to Inter, Galatasaray and Como over the last ten days, with the defeat to the Ligurian side putting a top four qualification under risk.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that the games against Roma and Gala will define Spalletti’s future. The Bianconeri ownership is keeping a close eye on the scenario, with a Champions League qualification a clear goal before Spalletti’s stay is confirmed and his contract renewed.

If Roma beat Juve, they could go as many as seven points clear and this could spell trouble in Turin. It won’t just add certainty to Spalletti’s situation but would also throw Damien Comolli into uncertainty. 

There is belief that the club’s finances have suffered enough in the last two seasons and the ownership wants to get it back on track. This would only happen if they qualify for the Champions League, with John Elkann to have the final say on the matter.
