Douglas Luiz is on the verge of joining Nottingham Forest, fulfilling his desire to return to the Premier League, with the Bianconeri expected to accept an offer below €35m including add-ons.

Premier League side Nottingham Forest are close to reaching a final agreement with Juventus over the signing of Douglas Luiz.

The two clubs are in advanced talks, and sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that the Bianconeri are convinced of lowering their initial demands of €30m plus €5m add-ons.

Juventus will likely lower their asking price by €2/3m, but want to be certain that the Brazilian midfielder will remain at Forest beyond June 2026 after an initial loan move.

Douglas Luiz decided to leave Juventus weeks ago, and his desire was always to return to the Premier League, where he had collected 10 goals and 10 assists with Aston Villa in 2023-24.

Douglas Luiz joined Juventus in a €50m deal from Aston Villa a year ago, but didn’t score or assist in 27 appearances across all competitions with the Bianconeri.
