Michael Olise remains a topic of interest for Real Madrid—and apparently, the FC Bayern forward is himself considering a move away. According to a Spanish report, the 24-year-old can well imagine a transfer to Madrid.
While Olise is on course for the final with the French national team at the World Cup in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, rumors about his future are intensifying off the field. For FC Bayern, this situation could soon become a topic of discussion.
According to the Spanish daily El Debate, the reason lies in the tournament itself. Because Olise shares the French locker room with several Real Madrid players, he has reportedly begun to contemplate leaving the German record champions. His dream, it is said, is to one day play for Real Madrid and take the field there alongside Kylian Mbappé.
The timeline described by the paper is noteworthy. Olise reportedly wants to discuss his thoughts with Bayern’s leadership “immediately after the World Cup ends.” His main concern is one question: He wants to hear firsthand from sporting director Max Eberl and his team whether the club would actually stand in his way if he wanted to leave.

For FC Bayern, the stance is clear: Recently, the club has consistently emphasized that it has no intention of letting Olise go, even for offers exceeding the 200-million mark. On the contrary—the Munich club would prefer to secure the exceptional talent to a long-term deal as soon as possible. His contract runs through 2029, and according to the report, there is even talk of doubling his salary.
However, El Debate considers it rather unlikely that Olise will sign a new contract. According to the report, his agent, Rebecca James, has advised him to delay talks about an extension. She reportedly advised him “not to extend his contract with Bayern in order to exert pressure.”
There is also reportedly concern within the 24-year-old’s inner circle that an early contract extension could block his path to another top club in the coming years. It remains to be seen how credible this account is—the only thing clear so far is that Olise himself is seeking to hold decisive talks in Munich after the World Cup.
