On Monday, L’Équipe reported that Eduardo Camavinga (23) could leave Real Madrid this summer. However, as per a report from Florian Plettenberg, the Frenchman’s clear preference is to remain at the Bernabeu.
Camavinga’s place in the France squad is being called into question ahead of the World Cup, and his future at club level is also looking increasingly uncertain. Over the weekend, he was the first player hooked by Los Blancos as they went on to lose to RCD Mallorca – a result that may spell the end to their La Liga title bid.
The former Stade Rennais midfielder is now behind Thiago Pitarch in the hierarchy at the Bernabeu. Consequently, Los Blancos are not opposed to a sale. However, Camavinga is not keen on an exit. At this stage, there have not been talks with any other clubs either, and he wants to stay at Real Madrid for as long as possible. His current deal with the La Liga giants runs until 2029.
