Kicker reports that Eintracht Frankfurt’s hunt for a new head coach is proving less straightforward than expected.

Marco Rose has long been linked as successor to Dino Toppmöller, and a move would cost around €one million due to his existing RB Leipzig contract.

Rose is said to have doubts about taking charge because of the immediate high expectations, something the former Borussia Dortmund head coach has complained about in previous roles.

On Wednesday, Frankfurt lost 3-2 to Qarabag in the Champions League, a result that eliminated them with one game to spare.

Frankfurt will not be rushed into an appointment. Interim coaches Dennis Schmitt and Alexander Meier are set to oversee Saturday’s match against Hoffenheim.
