Kicker reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are looking north for their next head coach, with Jacob Neestrup and Kjetil Knutsen linked.

The FC Copenhagen boss was heavily linked with Wolfsburg and RB Leipzig last summer. Wolfsburg’s Danish managing director Peter Christiansen was reported to be keen on recruiting his former colleague. Neestrup chose to stay, and the reasons remain unclear.

Absolut Fußball claims Eintracht want to persuade Neestrup to join their project. Copenhagen’s Danish SuperLiga campaign has faltered, and they sit fifth. At 37 and already a title winner with FCK, he may seek a new challenge.

Sport Bild has reported that Bodø/Glimt head coach Kjetil Knutsen is also under consideration, and Kicker has supported that line.

The 57-year-old has led the Eliteserien club since 2018, collecting multiple titles and honours. He may now be ready for a different objective.
