Eliezer Mayenda is expected to leave Sunderland this summer, according to Foot Mercato, after his agent, Alfonso Stellitano, posted from the Stadium of Light with the caption “The Last Dance”.
The 21-year-old made 23 appearances in 2025-26, scoring twice in the Premier League.
The report says several ambitious European clubs are monitoring him ahead of the window. It adds that his performances and career path have caught the eye after Sunderland clinched historic Europa League qualification, with his age, potential and Premier League exposure making him appealing.
Mayenda joined from Sochaux in 2023 and has made 73 appearances, scoring 12. His breakthrough arrived in the 2024-25 promotion season, when he scored 10 in 42 across all competitions.
He has since stepped up to the Premier League, featuring 20 times and scoring two as Sunderland finished seventh. Though not always a starter, his pace, versatility and work-rate gave Régis Le Bris a useful option. With preparations under way for Premier League and Europa League football, his situation could be one to watch while he remains under contract.
