New England head coach Thomas Tuchel has made Brentford's Justin Cochrane the latest addition to his backroom staff.
The Football Association are poised to announce the appointment of 43-year-old Cochrane, who is expected to work part-time with England and retain his job as the Bees' head of coaching - a role he has held since 2022.
Cochrane is the latest black and minority ethnic coach to join England's senior staff after Ashley Cole and Joleon Lescott, who worked under interim head coach Lee Carsley in the autumn, and Chris Powell and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, both of whom assisted Gareth Southgate. Cole has since returned to the Under-21 set-up with Carsley.
Cochrane came through the FA's coaching pathway and has already held key roles with England's youth teams, having coached the Under-16 and U-17 sides.
He also coached in the academies at Manchester United and Tottenham, where he worked under John McDermott, who is now the FA technical director.
Cochrane is expected to be in place for Tuchel's first camp, with England facing Albania and Latvia in World Cup qualifiers at Wembley next month.
The German, who began work as Southgate's permanent successor on January 1, has already named Anthony Barry as his assistant, with performance coach Nicolas Mayer, goalkeeper coach Henrique Hilario and analyst James Melbourne also making up his staff.
Tuchel worked with Hilario and Melbourne at Chelsea, and Mayer at Paris St-Germain and Bayern Munich.
