Leeds United are close to sealing their second move of the summer, following Lukas Nmecha, with the entourage of Slovenian star Jaka Bijol expected to arrive in England in the next few days.

The Whites have been working on multiple deals simultaneously as they look to give Daniel Farke the best possible team to cope with the Premier League challenge.

They have just confirmed their first signing of the summer in the form of Nmecha, who has arrived on a free transfer and penned a two-year deal.

Nmecha’s signing, though, is just the tip of the iceberg as the deal makers continue to push towards other targets as well.

Udinese defender Bijol is extremely close to a switch to Elland Road for a fee of €25m.

An agreement between the Italian and English club is close to being reached, following extensive talks and at least one rejected bid.

The player, on his part, has already given his green light to the move to Elland Road this summer.

Now, according to Italian journalist Orazio Accomando, the player’s entourage are ‘expected in England’ in the coming days.

Fellow Premier League outfit Newcastle United are widely suggested to have entered the scene late, but were unable to turn the tide in their favour.

It now remains to be seen how quickly the Whites manage to announce their second signing of the summer.

They have approached quite a significant number of targets already but have been told no due to their status as a newly-promoted Premier League team.

They have, though, moved on quickly as they have shortlisted at least ten targets for each position they want to strengthen.

Standing at six feet three inches, Bijol will be a physical presence in the Leeds United defence, which has had to cope with injuries last season.
