Paris Saint-Germain are shifting their focus to Ligue 1’s rising stars as they look to reshape their squad with younger, more dynamic players. Recent signings like Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue from domestic rivals reflect this change in strategy.
For years, PSG faced criticism for overlooking top young talent in France, but under sporting advisor Luis Campos, that’s starting to change. Now, PSG are setting their sights on another standout player from Ligue 1.
Andrey Santos, currently on loan from Chelsea, has been one of the breakout stars at RC Strasbourg this season. He’s played a crucial role in their push for a Champions League spot and is starting to draw serious attention across Europe.
According to Fichajes, PSG and AC Milan are monitoring Santos ahead of the summer transfer window. Calciomercato reports that Roma, Juventus, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Monaco are also keeping tabs on the midfielder. While Chelsea aren’t actively seeking to sell, they are reportedly open to offers around £35 million.

The Daily Mail’s Kieran Gill reports that Enzo Maresca will have a chance to get a closer look at Santos this summer, with the midfielder set to feature for Chelsea at the Club World Cup.
Santos has had a strong loan spell with Strasbourg, but it’s still unclear where he’ll be playing next season.
Gill previously reported that Chelsea and Strasbourg have agreed to hold off on deciding Santos until the end of the season. The final call likely hinges on which European competitions each club qualifies for.
