Erick Pulgar in scoring form as Flamengo visit Lanús in Recopa opener

Erick Pulgar heads into Flamengo’s trip to Lanús in Argentina in scoring form, a cornerstone of Filipe Luís’s team.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the Chilean has eight appearances this season, six starts, and has scored in each of his last two matches. He has produced seven key passes and eight shots, recorded 50% accuracy with long passes, and added nine tackles and six interceptions.

For Flamengo, Pulgar has played 150 matches, with 94 wins, 34 draws and 22 defeats, and has scored five goals.

He joined the club in 2022, when Dorival Júnior was in charge. He earned a regular starting role in 2023, one of the positives of Jorge Sampaoli’s tenure.

Flamengo visit Lanús at Estadio Néstor Díaz Pérez on Thursday 19, with kick-off at 21:30 Brasília time, in the first leg of the Recopa Sudamericana final.
