Erling Haaland has done it again. The Manchester City striker made headlines once more during Norway's emphatic 11-1 victory over Moldova in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
By netting five goals, he became the only player to achieve this feat three times in the 21st century. He had already scored five goals twice with Manchester City: first against RB Leipzig (7-0) on March 14, 2023, in the Champions League, and then against Luton Town (6-2) on February 27, 2024, in the FA Cup.
These staggering numbers highlight just how influential the former Dortmund forward remains for his team, even if his overall performances seem slightly less dazzling compared to previous seasons.
The 25-year-old is also the all-time top scorer for the Norwegian national team, with 48 goals in just 45 matches.
