Estéban Lepaul finished Ligue 1 top scorer with 21 goals, and Adrien Thomasson led the assists chart with 10, as the 2025-26 season concluded on Sunday.
The Stade Rennais striker, 26, scored in a 1-3 defeat at Marseille to reach 21, matching Ousmane Dembélé’s tally from last season, whom he succeeds. According to L'Équipe, it is his first time winning the award.
He joins Alexander Frei in 2003-04 and Martin Terrier in 2021-22 as Rennes’ leading single-season scorers this century. Having also scored for Angers before moving last summer, Lepaul is the first winner to strike for two clubs in one campaign.
His triumph breaks PSG’s hegemony, 10 trophies in the last 10 seasons. He finished ahead of Strasbourg’s Joaquin Panichelli, absent since late March, and Marseille’s Mason Greenwood, both on 16, with Folarin Balogun fourth on 13.
Thomasson, 32, delivered 10 assists for Lens, seven in open play and three from set pieces. He becomes the first Lens player to claim the accolade.
He edged his team-mate Matthieu Udol, plus Brest forward Ludovic Ajorque and OL’s Endrick, each on seven.
