Ethan Nwaneri 'back on' Dortmund radar as El Mala alternative | OneFootball

The Sun reports that Borussia Dortmund are again looking at Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri as an alternative to Said El Mala.

Talks with Köln over El Mala have proved difficult for Niko Kovac's side, and Dortmund do not plan to meet the Bundesliga club's €50 million valuation. Bild claims there is no chance they will pay a club-record sum despite the player's wish to join.

With a commitment expected from Genk's Konstantinos Karetsas, Dortmund are working on a second attacking addition.

Nwaneri, 19, endured a difficult loan at Olympique de Marseille in the second half of last season. He is under contract until 2030, so a loan would be the most likely route, though he is playing a major role in the Premier League champions' pre-season.

The left-footed Londoner can operate as a right winger, an attacking midfielder or a second striker. He was included in England's World Cup set-up under Thomas Tuchel to gain experience for the future.
