We begin at 18:45 CET (17:45 BST) with Roma and Bologna playing in the Europa League Round 2 against Lille and Freiburg, respectively.
The Giallorossi beat OGC Nice 2-1 away in their Europa League season opener last week, while Bologna lost 1-0 against Aston Villa.
Both sides play their first home European game this season today.
Struggling Fiorentina host Sigma Olomouc in the opening league phase game of the Conference League.
The Tuscans are still without victories in Serie A this term and hope to start the European season with a victory to partially end their crisis.
Fiorentina and Roma will also meet in the next Serie A round at the Stadio Franchi before the October international break.
Moise Kean is suspended for the Tuscans, so Stefano Pioli will pick Edin Dzeko and Roberto Piccoli in attack.

Piccoli (Fiorentina)
On scoring and his family support: “I need to repeat myself straight away in the league. I’m happy, we managed to bring home the three points. My family was in the stadium, they follow me to almost every game and they’re a point of reference for me. But I’m also happy for the club that believed in me and for the fans.”
On his partnership with Kean: “We’re working a lot in training to find the right mechanisms to play together. I believe we’ll enjoy many good moments. We need to refine our understanding. We have great quality up front, we must push every day. If we create chances, we’ll bring the crowd with us – and this is a crowd that really pushes hard.”
On pressure and expectations: “I try to let the pitch do the talking and to ask for the ball in the best way possible. I like having pressure because it motivates me more. Here it’s high, but that’s part of the game.”

Fiorentina goalscorer Ndour at Full-Time
On the win over Sigma “Better the assist tonight because it allowed us to break the deadlock in a difficult match. This victory is very important because after a tough start to the season, with results not coming, but that’s also football. We always trained well and this win shows that after a difficult period, we can gain confidence.”
On space for Italian players “In recent years things are changing, just look at the last matchday where Pio and Camarda scored. Here at Fiorentina there are many of us, it’s a very young group, almost all Italian, and that can help in difficult moments like this.”
On working with Pioli “Pioli is a teacher for me. He always advises me on my imperfections, like going for the shot as happened today, so I always listen carefully to him.”
