Europa League line-ups: Union Saint-Gilloise vs. Roma

Roma rotate the squad in their Europa League trip to Union Saint-Gilloise, so Tommaso Baldanzi, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Eldor Shomurodov start, but still no chance for Mats Hummels.

It kicks off at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels at 17.45 GMT.

Ivan Juric is struggling to hold on to the Roma job after the 3-2 Serie A defeat to Hellas Verona at the weekend.

Their European tally was boosted by a scraped 1-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv, but they have only four points from three rounds.

Evan Ndicka is out with a flu virus, plus Mario Hermoso and Alexis Saelemaekers injured, but that’s still not enough to warrant giving Hummels his first start for the club.

Instead, Bryan Cristante drops back into central defence.

There is squad rotation elsewhere too, as Paulo Dybala, Artem Dovbyk and Matias Soulé are on the bench, but captain Pellegrini starts in front of quite a strong midfield.

Union Saint-Gilloise caused a surprise last season by winning the Belgian Cup and followed that by beating Club Brugge to win the Supercup in July.

In the Europa League, they lost 2-1 away to Fenerbahce, drew 0-0 with Bodo/Glimt and were defeated 1-0 by FC Midtjylland.

Guillaume Francois, Lazare Amani, Casper Terho and Promise David are ineligible, while Alessio Castro-Montes and Henok Teklab are injured.
