After starting their Europa League campaign positively with a 2-1 win against Celta Vigo, Stuttgart fell to a shock 2-0 defeat on their travels against Basel, with a late Xherdan Shaqiri goal sealing all three points for the Rotblau.
That has proved to be the only loss since September for VfB, though, with Sebastian Hoeneß's side securing five wins in their last six matches across all competitions.
Hosts Fenerbache find themselves sitting third in the Turkish Süper Lig, with the appointment of ex-RB Leipzig and Schalke head coach Domenico Tedesco kickstarting a better run of form following the sacking of Jose Mourinho. They do though, sit six points behind league leaders Galatasaray.
Tedesco's side will be without Jhon Duran, who remains sidelined. Mert Hakan Yandas is also absent, while Cenk Tosun and Irfan Kahveci are suspended from the squad for disciplinary reasons.
Deniz Undav could feature for Stuttgart as he continues with his road to recovery, coinciding with the absence of Ermedin Demirovic, who is set to be out for an extended period. Danish midfielder Nikolas Nartey has since replaced Demirovic in Hoeneß's European squad.
Jamie Leweling, Florian Hellstern, Stefan Drljaca, and Justin Diehl are also absent for Stuttgart.
