Eustáquio thanks Porto as Los Angeles FC loan confirmed with $7.25 million option | OneFootball

Stephen Eustáquio has left Porto for Los Angeles FC on loan and thanked the club and region in a social media message.

According to O Jogo, the Canada international midfielder, 29, has joined the United States club until June with a purchase option set at $7.25 million, with the move confirmed on Friday.

In an Instagram post, he reflected on four years at the Dragão, highlighting a record points league title, three consecutive Taças de Portugal, unforgettable European nights, the 1,000th goal at the Dragão and two Supertaças. He also recalled scoring in the final in Leiria to secure the missing trophy, noted that not everything was rosy, and said he always felt the support of the club and the region, signing off with a see you soon to the Dragons.

Eustáquio arrived from Paços de Ferreira in 2021/22, initially on loan, and recorded 12 goals and 10 assists for Porto.

His honours include one league title, three Taças de Portugal, two Supertaças and one Taça da Liga. This is his second spell abroad after a brief stint with Cruz Azul in 2018/19.
