Everton have added Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor to their extensive striker shortlist.

According to the Mirror’s Ryan Taylor, the Toffees have made an ‘informal enquiry’ about the Frenchman’s availability as they look to bolster their attacking options.

They haven’t submitted any official bids, but David Moyes wants to refresh his options at the top end of the pitch, with Thierno Barry and Beto failing to fire.

Barry is still adapting to the demands of English football, although he has scored four goals in 22 Premier League games. Beto only has two in as many games as Barry.

With Everton sitting 10th in the Premier League table, they have a real chance of qualifying for Europe this season.

However, that objective becomes significantly more complicated when the strikers are struggling to put the ball in the back of the net.

Everton will Moyes by bringing in reinforcements this month, and Isidor is one of several options on the club’s radar.

The Frenchman has become a fan favourite since Sunderland returned to the Premier League.

Isidor is currently Sunderland’s joint top scorer with four goals in 19 Premier League games, despite starting just 11 times.

While his goals have dried up in recent weeks, his energy, movement and willingness to run the channel make him an important part of the squad.

Isidor hasn’t scored since the 2-1 win against Chelsea in October, going 11 games across all competitions without a goal. But that hasn’t stopped Everton from enquiring about him/

Sunderland won’t fight tooth and nail to keep Isidor, but Everton may have to stump up £25 million to convince their Premier League rivals to do business.

The Toffees have also explored other options, including a move for Fenerbahce forward Youssef En-Nesyri.

However, talks over a proposed loan deal haven’t yielded any positive results, while Romelu Lukaku has turned down the chance to return to the club.
