The bile, childish insults, generalisations, stereotyping, fantasy… are a joy, as always.

They also talk about what is likely to happen on Saturday at Goodison Park.

Everton fans commenting via their Grand Old Team message board ahead of this Newcastle United match:

‘I hate Newcastle with every fibre of my being…hate the city, the people and the team.’

‘Howay tha toffees man.

Ga’wan the lads, beat these soft geordies like and show them whose boss a th’ toon.’

‘Would most likely take a point right now if offered.’

‘Would snap your hand off for that now.’

‘This crowd of neanderthals come to visit.’

‘Isaak missing for the horsepunchers. Wilson also injured. Osulu likely to make his debut , you just know that he’s nailed on to score.’

‘We have to beat the bar codes. Need to put them in their place.’

‘How far above us in the table is that?’

‘Honestly, a draw would be a good result for this one. While I dont think they have played well and their points total is deceiving, I also dont think we have played well. I think this is our toughest of the next 4 matches so any result here would be a good one. Back to back wins with Doucoure and Young playing is too much to ask unless Branthwaite and Pickford play out of their mind.’

‘a draw right now yes please

they’re MF to ours is scary as f.’

‘Would take a draw but it’s got Pickford meltdown written all over it. He’s been pretty twitchy of late with some strange decisions so the Tyne-Wear connection might just send him. MOTM or howlers everywhere – nothing inbetween. Anthony Gordon as well.’

‘Dyche knows all about Pope on the deck and where he doesn’t want to be in possession of the ball when pressed.

Gordon can’t cross a ball to save his life so send him very wide down the flanks.

Howe’s teams are all about blustery, fidgety movement, so control the pace of the game.

Dom will show them what they missed out on and Trippier will have a nightmare against Ndiaye.’

‘I came out of the Palace game relieved we had got away it on the strength of a short decent spell in the second half against a poor Palace team. I dread the Newcastle game. A repeat of that performance will surely invite defeat to a far better group of players. I have no confidence that Dyche’s idea of football tactics will prevail. I will gladly take a draw. These are hard times.’

‘Can’t be having a first half against these like Saturday otherwise will probably be 2 or 3 down.

Was a great win against them last season but was a very good time to play them as they had about 10 out and were just playing the same 11.’

‘Gordon nailed on winner kiss the badge cr.p. We won’t defend our way out of this one.’

‘Hate’s a strong word and it conveys some very dark thoughts and emotions and I almost never have such sentiments about anyone. I immensely dislike the shower across the park. This lot I hate.’

‘Gordon and barnes vs young scares me a lot.’

‘We’ve won 6 in 27.

Not sure our tactics are working

That’s a lot more wins than if feels.’

‘Isak been ruled out already which is great news as he’s a nightmare forward for this backline to contain (even with Branthwaite in).

Their performances haven’t been great but they’re a very hard to beat team home and away. Were awful at Bournemouth and Wolves for 70 minutes and 1-0 down in both yet secured four points from those two games. Also were outplayed by Spurs at home but still won that and also won v Southampton despite playing pretty much all the game with 10 men.

Only Fulham they were comprehensively defeated but not sure a Dyche team can press like Silva’s got Fulham going.

Midfield will be the key battle here so vital Dyche brings back Gana imo, I think him and Mangala will be a good battle against Guimaraes and Joelinthon.’

‘Gordon will play central with Isak out so he won’t move into Young’s area that much.

Barnes isn’t that quick but need to watch him coming inside as he scored a cracker at Wolves.’

‘Only scraped past Wimbledon 1-0 at home in the cup.

This is a decent time in the season to be playing Newcastle, let’s not dress it up any other way.

A few injuries aswell last night, Schar was taken off at the end and rated a doubt so that would be a boost if he’s not there as he’s their ball playing CB.’

‘Exactly the game we need to be getting points from to ensure we avoid a relegation scrap. They’re an average team and we’re at home on a Saturday evening.’

‘I think we’ll park the bus mate and hope to nick one with a set piece or catch them on the break.’

‘So the usual dyche formula?’

‘I had previously predicted 1-1 or 2-1 to us, but if Branthwaite is out I’ll go 3-1 to Newcastle – two up by the hour mark, we get a fluke goal back and then concede again quickly in comical fashion.’

‘Apparently the Geordies have loads of injuries !’

‘Still got miles more better players than us even with injuries!’

‘Ahh it’s lovely to wake up to another doom and gloom story and hear our best player is knackered again.

Is there ever going to be any pleasure in following this wretched club ever again?

If Keane starts tomorrow I’m not even watching it.’

‘They have pace, we don’t. We need to play a low block and hope to nick one from a corner. 0-2 with Gordon scoring both from a combined distance of 4 yards out.’

‘if branthwaite injured we are in trouble again, must try o brien need pace to cope with gordon through the middle.’
