Everton welcome Manchester City to Goodison Park for the 100th and final time this afternoon.
The Toffees take on Pep Guardiola’s side aiming to continue their improvement under David Moyes.
Everton have lost just two of their 13 league games since the Scot’s return to the club in January. Though the threat of relegation has long been eased, a point this afternoon will make Everton mathematically safe from the drop.
Manchester City arrive on Merseyside in need of maximum points. The Citizens are embroiled in a tight race for Champions League qualification. Though fifth as things stand, Chelsea and Aston Villa sit just a point behind them in the table.
David Moyes will continue to take a cautious approach with Dwight McNeil, who has been eased into action after long-term knee issue. A similar approach could be taken with Armando Broja, though Moyes will want to run the rule over the Albanian, whose loan spell has been decimated by injury.
Another loanee, Jesper Lindstron, may have played his final game for Everton after undergoing a hernia operation. He joins Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala as confirmed absentees.
Everton predicted XI: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Gueye, Garner; Alcaraz, Doucoure, Ndiaye; Beto.
Everton host Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday 19th April 2025. Kick-off at Goodison Park is 15:00 GMT.
Everton vs Manchester City will not be televised live in the United Kingdom.
