Chelsea signed Sarr last summer, and he made his debut at the Club World Cup before being sent back to Strasbourg on loan.
However, the Blues recalled the Senegal international in January after failing in their pursuit of Jeremy Jacquet, who opted to join Liverpool.
Sarr impressed at the AFCON, and he started in the final against Morocco which Senegal won 1-0 in controversial circumstances.
The 20-year-old worked under Liam Rosenior in France, but since returning to Chelsea opportunities have been few and far between.
Sarr impressed against Hull in the FA Cup, whilst he also started against Arsenal at the Emirates in the league, but he’s made just five appearances since his return.
Rosenior defended Sarr after he made a costly error in the 3-0 defeat to PSG, and the Senegal international has revealed he doesn’t regret swapping Strasbourg for Chelsea.
“I think the break will do us good, and when we resume training, we’ll clear our heads,” he said as quoted on X.com.
“Every footballer goes through moments like that (against PSG). The important thing is to pick yourself up and move on.
“I have no regrets about leaving Strasbourg, because I’ve arrived at a big club where you have to earn your place to play.”

Whilst Sarr is still finding his feet, Chelsea continue to be linked with centre backs, with the club said to be looking to sign a new one in the summer.
