A former Inter Milan playing legend and vastly experienced Romanian defender, Chivu was appointed Inter manager last summer and proceeded to oversee a stunning first season at the helm.
He guided the Italian giants to a superb domestic double of both winning the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia for good measure.
Chivu began his coaching career working with a succession of Inter’s youth sides before then taking charge at Parma for a brief spell before his subsequent appointment with the Milan side.
City are no strangers to the Italian side.
Our most famous meeting is, of course, was in the 2023 UEFA Champions League final where Rodri’s second half strike sealed a 1-0 win to secure both a first-ever European Cup and the Treble.
The most recent clash with the Italians came in a UEFA Champions League phase meeting at the Etihad in September of 2024.
On that occasion an entertaining clash finished goalless.
All three games in Asia will be broadcast globally* on mancity.com and our official app for those with a CITY+ subscription.
No matter where you are in the world, you can see every single kick for a first glimpse at some of our stars as well as the promising youngsters hoping to make their mark.
With live commentary and a wraparound show from Matchday Live, it’s the best way to experience the games!
Available for £34.99 for an annual subscription or £9.99 per month, CITY+ gets you closer to the Club than ever before, with documentaries, live games and full-match replays throughout the season.
