Ex-Bayern Munich midfielders Lothar Matthaüs and Toni Kroos envisage different outcomes for the Bavarians' Champions League semi-final with Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the latter considers there German record champions as favourites despite the daunting trip to the French capital for the first-leg later this evening.
“When you get to this phase, which we are going into now in May and are represented everywhere, then you have done an excellent job. The championship is over the finish line.
“They are big favorites in the cup [Pokal] final. And in the Champions League, I now see a 50-50 match between what I think are the two best teams in Europe at the moment,” Kross told Sky.
Meanwhile, Lothar Matthaüs, who represented the Bavarians between 1984-88 and again from 1992-2000, has tipped Luis Enrique's men to get the better of his former club.
“I rate Paris Saint-Germain higher now than I did in November when they lost 1-2 to Bayern. Back then, they showed in the second half – albeit with a man advantage – what they were capable of.
“They built on that performance in the knockout stages. Therefore, I don't believe Bayern will be as dominant in Paris as they were in November, especially since that match wasn't a knockout game,” he wrote in his Sky column.
