Trouble for Sassuolo player Cristian Volpato.

The former Roma attacker was stopped in Sydney in the middle of the night for a traffic stop because he was driving his BMW at 109 km/h in a place where the speed limit is 60.

Police immediately administered a breathalyzer test (which resulted negative) and a drug test: the former Roma player tested positive for cocaine, according to The Guardian.

A new sample will be analyzed in the laboratory in the next few hours; meanwhile, his license has been suspended for six months for speeding.

Volpato was on vacation after playing in the World Cup with Australia. No comment has been received from the national team, nor from Sassuolo, who are expecting him for their pre-season training camp.
