Former Roma president Rosella Sensi weighed in on the current situation in the Italian capital.
In an interview with Rai Due, Sensi discussed the recent difficulties that have hindered Roma’s season so far.
“I wouldn’t have sent De Rossi away after 4 games,” said Sensi.
“I sent him a message and he replied. I know that these are difficult and painful moments and they need to be dealt with calmly.”
“When the team loses like in Florence, the fans get demoralized and ruin their whole week. When I was there the team was made up of professionals. There was a family atmosphere and because of it you could overcome even the difficulties.”
“My father’s goal was to make the fans happy and he succeeded with the Scudetto. It really hurt me to have to go around under escort years ago when I had a small daughter for 25 days. The president must know how to accept criticism and must take responsibility.”
