Both the clubs have been conservative in the transfer market with their approach and that is the reason why they are considering a player who is set to become a free agent in the summer.

According to Caught Offside sources, both Arsenal and Liverpool are showing concrete interest in Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich.

After his talks with the German Bundesliga side broke down, clubs all over the world are lining up to sign him in the summer as a free agent.

The Germany international player can play as a midfielder as well as a right-back, making him an experienced and a versatile option for the interested clubs.

The Gunners are particularly interested in him because they want to add quality and experience to their midfield. Mikel Arteta’s side could offer the German star a 2+1 year contract as per our sources.

Kimmich currently earns £320,000 per week at Bayern but Arne Slot’s Liverpool side are expected to offer him a wage package less than that. The Reds see him as a viable option since the player will be available as a free agent and he could fill in for Trent Alexander-Arnold who may be headed to join La Liga giants Real Madrid in the summer.

Manchester City, PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all expected to be a part of the race to sign the Bayern Munich star.

He is one of the most experienced players in the game right now having won the Bundesliga title eight times and the Champions League once.

Real Madrid want to sign the German star as a replacement of Toni Kroos who retired in the summer of 2024. His availability as a free agent has alerted Los Blancos who have a habit of signing some of the best players in the world for free.

After Bayern Munich withdrew their offer of a new contract to Kimmich, clubs across Europe are getting ready to make an offer to the German star in the summer and the competition to sign him is going to be intense.
