Chelsea and Newcastle are expected to do a lot of business this summer, and a recent summit saw them discuss SIX players.

Our writer Simon Phillips has been full of exclusives this week, and the latest is all about Newcastle.

He says that Chelsea took advantage of the Magpies playing down the road at Fulham to meet their officials to talk transfers. There were an amazing six players discussed.

Chelsea’s Newcastle summit sees six discussed

According to Phillips, Chelsea were asking about Nick Woltemade, Lewis Hall, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes. Meanwhile our friends from the North-East were curious about Josh Acheampong and Liam Delap.

We would see players moving either way in one of those modern non-swap / swaps. Certainly we expect those Premier League experienced Newcastle players to be very tempting for Chelsea at the right price.

Acheampong may see a direct line to first team football at St James’ Park, while Delap clearly needs a new start. With all that on the cards, it’s hard to see a world where we don’t get some movement between the two sides this summer as both teams adjust to missing out on European football.
