Stockport County striker Adama Sidibeh is a wanted man amid emerging interest from QPR, Bristol City and Swansea, Football League World understands
As Stockport County lick their wounds in the wake of Sunday afternoon's chastening 4-1 League One play-off final defeat to Bolton Wanderers at Wembley, Football League World can exclusively reveal that a trio of Championship outfits in QPR, Bristol City and Swansea are all weighing up a big potential raid on Edgeley Park ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Hatters were consigned to a third successive campaign of third-tier football after falling to defeat against Bolton, in which a late onslaught from Steven Schumacher's side - with three of their four goals coming after the hour mark - cancelled out Adama Sidibeh's first-half equaliser and ensured a second failure to achieve promotion via the play-offs in as many seasons.
Having returned to League One in 2024 by beating Wrexham to the fourth-tier title, Stockport have finished each of the last two campaigns in third position before falling short in the play-offs.
Dave Challinor's men bounced back from the previous term's semi-final elimination to Leyton Orient on penalties to re-establish their promotion credentials, but were unable to overcome the final hurdle this time around after dismantling Stevenage across two legs to book a swift return to Wembley following their EFL Trophy final loss against Luton Town just last month.
There is one Stockport player, however, who has caught the eye on both occassions in Stockport's succession of visits to Wembley way, and County's woes could soon be compounded as a series of Championship suitors set their sights on a raid of the League One play-off finalists.
The player in question is Adama Sidibeh, with interest in the striker's signature intensifying in the wake of Stockport's defeat to Bolton ahead of a potential transfer battle in the coming weeks and months.

Football League World understands that the 27-year-old has been identified as a target on the radars of QPR, Bristol City and Swansea, who are all bidding to kick on in the 2026/27 Championship campaign after securing mid-table finishes.
The second-tier trio are all eyeing a move for Sidibeh, leaving Stockport to face a fight in their efforts to retain the services of the in-demand frontman despite only bringing him to Edgeley Park from then-Scottish Championship outfit St. Johnstone in January on a two-and-a-half year contract.
Sidibeh, who scored in both of Stockport's Wembley showdowns and also saw a goal disallowed against the Trotters, has made an instant impact following his mid-season arrival, having found the back of the net on 10 occassions from 25 appearances across League One and EFL Trophy action.
The speedy forward's return of six goals in just 1,039 third-tier minutes helped Stockport to beat off the likes of Bradford City and Bolton to a third-placed finish, although his future with County could now find itself in fresh doubt if any of QPR, Swansea or the Robins decide to amp up their interest.
Sidibeh has enjoyed a remarkable rise in recent times, ascending through the non-league game after moving over to England from his native Gambia in 2022 before earning a move to St. Johnstone just over two years ago.
The 8-cap Gambia international registered 18 goals from 80 matches at McDiarmid Park and his form north of the border led to reported interest from Swansea back in 2024, but a move back to England would ultimately wait until January of this year.

Now, however, Sidibeh is back on the wishlist of Championship sides including the Swans, who could look to make a swoop across the summer months.
