Chelsea are getting ready for a battle over the future of Enzo Fernandez – and a major Premier League rival is interested.

Our writer Simon Phillips has been speaking to his sources close to the Chelsea camp, and he’s got some really juicy stuff.

He’s written a long piece about the future of Enzo Fernandez – who the Blues apparently now accept is going to be leaving. One possibility mentioned is truly chilling, adding a Premier League rival to the list that already includes PSG and Real Madrid.

Arsenal interested in Chelsea star

Here’s the bombshell from his Substack page:

“SPTC Sources can reveal that Arsenal have also made an enquiry to sign Fernandez, but any move there at this time has been ruled out to us.”

Annoyingly, we have to admit, he’s such an Arsenal player. We can just see him in that kit. He would fit nicely into that team and the goals they need to go to the next level.

Luckily we just can’t see Chelsea selling him there – unless there are no other offers close to what they want.

There could be a major turnaround under Xabi Alonso next season, or at least that’s what one Premier League CEO is saying after seeing how things have shaken out at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea didn’t take some first half chances against Sunderland on Sunday and this was blamed for their defeat by their captain after the game.
