Wolves could bank a windfall this summer if former defender Bastien Meupiyou secures a big-money move.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Borussia Dortmund have reportedly tabled an offer worth up to £14.7 million, £10.4 million up front plus £4.3 million in add-ons.
Wolves inserted a buy-back clause for a small fee but are not expected to activate it. Their sell-on deal would return their original outlay and 50 percent of any profit.
If Dortmund’s bid is accepted, that would bring in up to £7.3 million from the initial fee, with a further £2.1 million if the add-ons are triggered.
Meupiyou, 20, joined Wolves in 2024 from Nantes for around £4.2 million, did not make a first-team appearance and left last summer for Portuguese side Alverca.
He has since been a regular at centre-back for the newly promoted club, who finished mid-table in the Portuguese top flight. Alverca expect he could become their record sale, overtaking the £7 million received for Alex Amorim’s January move to Genoa.
