Roma remain in the market for a forward. Among their favourites is Crysencio Summerville, relegated from the Premier League with West Ham last season and recently shone at the World Cup stage with the Netherlands, who is being monitored by several clubs.

The Hammers’ relegation means there’s little they can do but hope a bidding war helps them make the most profit on the player they signed from Leeds United for €29.3 million two summers ago.

Among his Premier League suitors, Man United have been a leading name, but they will not move for him unless Marcus Rashford, recently returning from a promising spell at Barcelona, leaves the club for good, thereby opening up a spot.

Roma’s stance has been clear for a while. As reconfirmed by Alfredo Pedullà, the Giallorossi want him at the Olimpico but have placed strict limits on what they are willing to offer: €40 million to the club and a salary annually worth €4–4.5 million to the player.

Summerville is represented by the agency as Donyell Malen (THE·TEAM), who has been veritable hit in the Italian capital. The agency has also offered another one of its players, Club Brugge forward Christos Tzolis, to Roma, but they have taken little interest in him and remain focused on the flying Dutchman.
