Wolves could bank a summer windfall from former defender Bastien Meupiyou if his next move happens. According to ExpressAndStar.com, a sell-on deal means a significant share of any fee would return to Molineux.
The 20-year-old joined from Nantes in 2024, did not feature for the first team, then left last summer for Portuguese side Alverca.
He has since been a regular at centre-back for the newly promoted club, who finished mid-table in the Portuguese top flight. Alverca expect he could become their record sale, surpassing the £7million received for Alex Amorim to Genoa in January.
It has been suggested that Borussia Dortmund have lodged a bid worth up to £14.7million including add-ons, structured as an initial £10.4million plus £4.3million in bonuses.
Wolves also hold a buy-back clause for a small fee, which they are not expected to activate. Under the sell-on agreed when he left, they would recoup the £4.2million paid to sign him and then 50 per cent of any profit. If the Dortmund offer is accepted, Wolves could receive up to £7.3million of the initial fee and a further £2.1million if the bonuses are triggered.
