Fabrizio Romano is the guru of transfers with the Italian journalist rarely ever getting any information he has about Liverpool wrong.
The Reds are clearly gearing themselves up for wholesale changes this summer after their fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Indeed, they still qualified for the Champions League by the skin of their teeth but, for a team of the Reds' quality, they should be cruising past most of their opponents and challenging for the Premier League title rather than just scraping by.
And, even though the Anfield outfit need to add many players to their ranks so that they can get back on level terms with their title rivals, they'll have to get rid of some of their current squad with Romano suggesting that one Liverpool star could be on his way out.
Cody Gakpo's future has been discussed for some time now.
If Arne Slot was still at the helm, there would be no chance of the Dutchman leaving.
But, now that Iraola is the head coach, he's confirmed that every new player will be look at as if they're a new signing so, if he doesn't think they're up to scratch, they could end up getting moved on.
This seems to be the case for Gakpo with his poor performances leading to fans wanting him gone.
Now, not many clubs will be that interested in the attacker, especially after his recent performances but, Romano has suggested that all that is stopping a deal from being made between Liverpool and Tottenham is that Spurs haven't approached them yet.
"One thing I wanted to mention guys is Cody Gakpo. Keep an eye on Tottenham for Cody Gakpo," he said via his YouTube channel.
"Because they have interest in the player. As of today – beginning of July – are not opening doors to an exit, they are not telling Gakpo he can leave or telling Tottenham they are open to negotiations.
"This is not happening now. We have to see later on this summer, in case Tottenham really open talks by sending a proposal. At the moment there is an interest. If they send a proposal they have to see what happens there.
"It’s a story to keep an eye on eventually, it’s not something guaranteed at this stage."
Even though Gakpo's form wasn't the best last term, he's still got a lot of talent within him.
The attacker has been a key part of Liverpool's attack ever since he joined the club and, he's even single-handedly won them games at certain points throughout his career.
Slot loved Gakpo as a player and as a person which is probably one of the main reasons why he continued to start him week-in, week-out.
But, the Dutchman didn't help his fellow countryman out all that much as he refused to play to his strengths and changed Liverpool's tactics completely.
Despite all of this, since the 27-year-old has only recently signed a new deal a rather hefty fee will be required to prise him away from Anfield, especially since he has 50 Premier League goal contributions to his name over the four seasons he's been at the club.
There's obviously no knowing what the future holds but, with how much money Tottenham are splashing on new players, there's no reason why Gakpo couldn't be the next player on their shortlist.
