In recent days it’s been suggested that Liverpool could go into the market for Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola. The 22-year-old won a treble under Luis Enrique last season - with the crowing glory being the Champions League.
But the French international has been suggested as a potential departure for PSG this summer with Foot Mercato naming Liverpool and Bayern Munich among the candidates to sign him.
Although he made 27 starts in Ligue 1 last season - and 14 more in the Champions League - he was slightly in the shadow of other forward options like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue.
Under contract until 2028, the Lyon academy graduate has been tipped to move elsewhere.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now weighed in on the future of Barcola, claiming in his GIVEMESPORT newsletter that Luis Enrique has got him in his plans for the FIFA Club World Cup and beyond.
“There is nothing imminent or concrete yet for Barcola,” he wrote. “From what I heard, PSG are counting on him for next season.”
Barcola arrived in 2023 from Lyon for around €45m and has gone on to establish himself as one of the best wide attackers in the world.
Last season he scored 21 goals and added 19 assists in total for PSG - who enjoyed their most successful campaign in history.
