Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has put out a fresh transfer update on Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea.

Plenty going to be going on at Stamford Bridge in this final week of the transfer window and I’d even suggest we may see a very busy deadline day as well.

Chelsea need player sales all over the pitch still. And one player they need to move on is Axel Disasi. And apparently they are now hopeful of doing this in the final week of the window with Premier League clubs moving in on him.

The outgoings slowed down a bit last week. But they did manage to make another confirmed departure with the sale of Renato Veiga to Villareal this week, clearing another squad player from the books.

But they will need to sell attackers as well, namely Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, to be able to complete moves for both Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig and Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United.

Romano has the latest on both players

Fabrizio Romano has been on the Simons and Garnacho moves all throughout and rarely goes a couple of days without giving an update. And via X, he put his latest updates out last night.

He said:

“Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons are patiently waiting for Chelsea to give them the green light. Christopher Nkunku and Nico Jackson must go in the final week of the window.”

Time is running out

Neither Nkunku or Jackson appear to be close to making a move to go anywhere right now and we have only heard about talks. It can speed up quick, for sure, but time is running out if Chelsea want to sell both players and then move in to complete deals to sign Simons and Garnacho.
