After starting the season on loan in Scotland, the 20-year-old left-back saw his stint cut short in January to facilitate a switch to the Italian club.
The Spaniard was surprisingly linked with a move to German giants Borussia Dortmund last weekend but it now looks like he will pledge his long-term future to Como.

Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano has shared a fresh update on the La Masia product’s future with his 23 million followers on social media, posting the full details on X. Romano said:
“Understand Como are set to trigger €6m release clause for Alex Valle to sign him on a permanent deal from Barcelona. Intention and plans are clear on the club side as they’re set to offer Valle a long-term deal. He’s a key part of Cesc Fabregas’ plans at the club.”
Valle joined Brendan Rodgers’ side in the closing week of the transfer window, following a loan spell at Segunda Division outfit Levante, arriving alongside new signings Arne Engels, Auston Trusty, and Luke McCowan.

During his brief time with the Scottish champions, Valle featured in 19 matches and seemed to settle into life at Celtic seamlessly.
In Celtic’s 6-0 rout of St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park last September, he set up a memorable goal for Adam Idah with a deft assist – an effort now shortlisted for the club’s Goal of the Season award.
Como, currently coached by former Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, boast a squad that includes high-profile names such as Dele Alli, Pepe Reina, Sergi Roberto, and Alberto Moreno.

Alex Valle is also set to win his second major honour in the game as early as this weekend.
Celtic can wrap up the 2024/25 Scottish Premiership title with a draw at Tannadice against Dundee United on Saturday lunchtime and that will earn the young Spaniard his second medal from his short time at Celtic
Valle of course also picked up a League Cup winners medal in December after Celtic beat theRangers in the Premier Sports Cup Final.
