Facu González set for LaLiga with Racing after Juventus sale for two and a half million euros | OneFootball

Facu González will play in LaLiga next season after Racing de Santander made his loan permanent, securing the 23-year-old centre-back for the 2026-27 campaign.

According to Superdeporte, Juventus have agreed a sale worth two and a half million euros, having previously loaned him to Feyenoord for €400,000 after signing him from Valencia for one point seven five million euros.

The Montevideo-born defender joined Valencia from RCD Espanyol as a youth player. He impressed at Paterna and Óscar Fernández handed him a Segunda División B debut. He made 20 appearances in 2020/21 and became a regular for Valencia Mestalla.

Despite first-team difficulties at Mestalla and a strong 2023 with Uruguay’s youth sides and under Angulo with the reserves, he did not get a senior debut. Others, including Mosquera, Yarek and Tárrega, stepped up, with the first two later bringing in significant funds.

Asier Villalibre also joins the squad for 2026-27 once purchase clauses were executed from 1 July. The forward arrives from Deportivo Alavés after 16 goals and two assists in 31 LaLiga Hypermotion matches.

González returns to the Campos de Sport after 28 outings last season, 27 in the league and one in the Copa del Rey. He scored one goal and was pivotal in Racing’s promotion back to LaLiga EA Sports.
