Here are our picks for Matchday 2:

Louis Oppie, St. Pauli (Defender, 4.66M, 3%)

Louis Oppie has made the jump from the 3. Liga to the Bundesliga after an impressive season with Arminia Bielefeld, where he scored five goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions. The 23-year-old wing-back looked lively in his Bundesliga debut - a 3-3 draw with Borussia Dortmund - and could offer excellent value for money once again as St. Pauli head into a derby clash against Hamburger SV.

Miro Muheim, Hamburger SV (Defender, 8.13M, 4%)

It may have flown under the radar for some Fantasy Bundesliga managers, but Miro Muheim takes both corners and free-kicks and may even be on penalties. The wing-back showed last week that he can also accumulate points through winning duels, earning an impressive 265 points in HSV’s opening 0-0 draw with Gladbach.

Jarell Quansah, Bayer Leverkusen (Defender, 9.55M, 23%)

Quansah had the perfect start to his Bundesliga debut, heading Leverkusen into the lead from an early set piece. It wasn’t a one-off, as Grimaldo continued targeting the big centre-back with his crosses throughout the match. Quansah finished the game with an impressive 365 Fantasy points, and Leverkusen now face an opponent in Werder Bremen who are struggling even more than they are.

Alejandro Grimaldo, Bayer Leverkusen (Defender, 18.98M, 21%)

If you have a bigger budget, Quansah’s teammate Grimaldo proved against Hoffenheim that he may be worth spending big on, racking up 436 points - by far the highest total of any defender in the game.

Fares Chaibi, Eintracht Frankfurt (Midfielder, 7.18M, 5%)

Chaibi has impressed in a more deep-lying role lately and had a very promising start to the season, as he scored 296 points in Frankfurt's 4-1 win over Werder Bremen. He's certainly a solid option at a relatively low cost.

Patrick Wimmer, Wolfsburg (Midfielder, 8.11M, 6%)

The energetic Austrian international started the season strongly, earning 285 points in Wolfsburg’s 3-1 win over Heidenheim. Playing as a winger at home against a Mainz side coming off an important and tiring European fixture, he could be a great differential option this week.

Michael Olise, FC Bayern (Midfielder, 24.1M, 34%)

Owned by 34%, Olise showed in Bayern’s thrashing of Leipzig that, like his teammate Harry Kane, he’s close to a must-have at the moment despite his high price tag. The Bayern winger scored a first-half brace and was a constant presence in the German champions’ 6-0 win and he continued his strong form with a goal against Wehen Wiesbaden in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday.

Antonio Nusa, RB Leipzig (Striker, 7.49M, 1%)

Nusa provided a spark after coming on at halftime against Bayern and scored a fantastic goal, which unfortunately for him – was ruled out after a VAR review. The Norwegian international is widely expected to start this time as Leipzig aim to bounce back against a Heidenheim side that also had a poor season opener. At just €7.49M, he offers good value for the price, with the only downside being that he’s listed as a striker.

Patrik Schick, Bayer Leverkusen (Striker, 11.19M, 19%)

Schick had a quiet Bundesliga opener against Hoffenheim, but he shouldn’t be written off just yet. Pressure will be on Bayer 04 to bounce back against a struggling Werder side that conceded four goals to Eintracht last week, and the clinical striker is expected to play a key role for ten Hag’s men.

Serhou Guirassy, Borussia Dortmund (Striker, 19.37M, 24%)

Guirassy scored a trademark goal out of nowhere in Dortmund’s 3-3 draw with St. Pauli and could have had an even better matchday if he hadn’t missed a penalty. BVB now face Union Berlin, who suprisingly beat Stuttgart in their opener - but that victory owed much to a heroic performance from Frederik Rønnow in goal and a stunning Bundesliga debut from Ilyas Ansah up front. If Dortmund create a similar number of chances against the capital club, it’s hard to see Guirassy not finding the net.
