In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we’ll highlight 10 players to consider adding to your team ahead of Matchday 27.
As a rule of thumb, we'll try to steer clear of the most obvious picks, instead focusing mainly on players who could offer great value as differentials.
Frederik Rønnow, Union Berlin (Goalkeeper, 5.57M, 2%)
At this stage of the season, goalkeepers can be among the best differential picks. Targeting a keeper facing FC Bayern Munich has already paid off several times this season, and that trend could continue this weekend, with Rønnow likely facing a very busy afternoon in the Union Berlin goal.
Luca Reggiani, Borussia Dortmund (Defender, 2.14M, 0%)
Reggiani delivered a standout performance last week, scoring 425 points. Even without his goal, he still would have returned a strong 285 points, including 192 from duels won. After that display, he looks set for another opportunity against Hamburger SV in a very favourable home fixture. At just 2.14M, he looks like one of the strongest budget options.
Nnamdi Collins, Eintracht Frankfurt (Defender, 4.53M, 1%)
Collins is in excellent form, averaging 282 points over his last three matches, with 236 as his lowest return in that stretch. Part of an Eintracht Frankfurt defence that has kept two consecutive clean sheets, he offers strong potential at a very affordable price.
Alex Grimaldo, Leverkusen (Defender, 26.91M, 15%)
Back from suspension, Grimaldo is an obvious transfer target this week. His attacking output from wing-back positions gives him huge upside, especially in a favourable fixture like the one this weekend against bottom-placed Heidenheim.
Lennart Karl, FC Bayern (Midfielder, 3.21M, 4%)
After a strong Champions League performance against Atalanta, Karl has a good chance of starting in a central attacking role at home against Union Berlin. His low price and ownership combined with clear attacking upside make the youngster a strong differential option this week.
Ibrahim Maza, Bayer Leverkusen (Midfielder, 6.33M, 3%)
Maza has previously demonstrated his explosive potential this season – for example in Leverkusen's reverse fixture against Heidenheim where he bagged a brace. Another excellent attacking option at a low cost.
Christian Eriksen, Wolfsburg (Midfielder, 15.05M, 15%)
Having scored over 200 points in three of his last four games, the Danish veteran could be in line for another strong return as VfL Wolfsburg approach this weekend’s home game against Werder Bremen – a match they will desperately aim to win.
Karim Adeyemi, Borussia Dortmund (Striker, 4.27M, 1%)
Karim Adeyemi can be a bit of a boom-or-bust Fantasy option, but considering his low price, his strong performance against Augsburg last week and the favourable home fixture against Hamburger SV he approaches, the attacker could be worth a shot this week.
Patrik Schick, Bayer Leverkusen (Striker, 9.21M, 9%)
Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s upcoming game against Heidenheim is a very favourable fixture for Patrik Schick, who has the potential to score multiple goals – if he starts. Since Christian Kofane has started two of the last three matches ahead of him, the Czech forward looks likely to get the nod this time, although there is no guarantee. Bringing him in and keeping at least one striker on the bench for cover could therefore be a sensible approach in case he doesn't start.
Serge Gnabry, FC Bayern (Striker, 11.69M, 5%)
With Luis Díaz suspended and Gnabry having seen very limited playing time recently, he looks nailed on to start on the left wing this week. With just 5% ownership, he stands out as a strong differential option with high upside.
